Privacy Policy

The short version
Every tool on ToolsVault runs entirely in your browser. Anything you paste into a tool — JSON, passwords, JWTs, text, images — is processed locally on your device and is never sent to our servers, logged, or stored.
What we do collect
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and understand which tools are popular. This collects standard browser-level data (page URL, referrer, country, device type) but does not include any text, files, or values you enter into the tools.
- Advertising: We display ads through Google AdSense. Google may set cookies in your browser to serve relevant ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Server logs: Our hosting provider (Netlify) records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a limited period.
What we do NOT collect
- The contents of anything you paste, type, upload, or generate using a tool on this site.
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any account-level information (we have no accounts).
- Any personally identifying details beyond what your browser sends with a normal HTTP request.
Cookies
We use cookies for two purposes only: anonymous traffic analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense). You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings or, for EU/UK/Swiss users, at Your Online Choices.
You can decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner on your first visit. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage and respected on subsequent visits.
Third-party services
We rely on the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information beyond standard analytics, there is typically nothing for us to delete on your behalf. If you would like Google Analytics or AdSense to stop tracking you, use the opt-out links above or your browser's "Do Not Track" / cookie controls. To request information about anything else, see the Contact page.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
