How Much Does Facebook Pay Per 1,000 Views in 2026? (Reels and Videos)
Facebook pays creators a share of ad revenue on Reels, longer videos and even photo and text posts. The range is wider than on any other platform, and a few factors decide where you land in it.
The short answer
Facebook pays roughly $0.30 to $4.00 per 1,000 views through its Content Monetization program. That means a million views typically pays somewhere between $300 and $4,000. Where you fall depends mostly on where your viewers live and how long they watch.
Facebook earnings by views
| Views | Low ($0.30 RPM) | Typical ($1.10 RPM) | High ($4 RPM) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10,000 | $3 | $11 | $40 |
| 100,000 | $30 | $110 | $400 |
| 500,000 | $150 | $550 | $2,000 |
| 1,000,000 | $300 | $1,100 | $4,000 |
| 10,000,000 | $3,000 | $11,000 | $40,000 |
Reels vs longer videos
Facebook folded its separate programs (in-stream ads, Reels payouts and performance bonuses) into a single Content Monetization program. Within it, format still matters:
- Reels reach new people fastest but carry fewer ad impressions per view, so they tend to sit in the lower half of the range.
- Longer videos (roughly three minutes and up) can carry mid-roll ads, so one view can serve several ads. They usually earn the most per view.
- Photos and text posts can earn too, though usually far less per view than video.
A common pattern is to use Reels for reach and growth, and longer videos to earn from the audience the Reels bring in.
What moves your Facebook RPM
Audience country
This is the biggest factor. Advertisers pay several times more to reach viewers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia than in lower-value advertising markets. Facebook video travels widely, so many pages end up with a global audience and a low average RPM without realising why.
Watch time
Longer watch time means more ad slots can be served. Short clips that people scroll past quickly earn little, even with big view counts.
Niche
Finance, business, tech and home improvement attract advertisers with bigger budgets than general entertainment or memes.
Originality
Meta limits or removes monetization for reposted and unoriginal content. Original videos are both safer and better rewarded by the feed.
How to earn more on Facebook
- Make some videos longer than three minutes so they can carry mid-roll ads.
- Post at times that suit your highest-value audience. See finding your best posting time.
- Cross-post your best Instagram Reels: Instagram pays nothing for views, Facebook does. Our guide on Instagram and views explains why.
- Open strong. A clear hook in the first two seconds lifts watch time, which lifts both reach and RPM.
- Add brand deals once your page has consistent reach. For established pages they often pay more than Content Monetization.
